U.S.S. Altair

Just received the first pass Eaglemoss model of the Altair. A sexy design that has been kicking around since before the Voyager pilot. Altair was a concept that Mike Okuda and I developed together as a possible Voyager design. The studio decided it didn't want to stray too far from the basic saucer/nacelle configuration. It was kind of a non-starter from the beginning, but we figured we'd roll the dice. It eventually was resubmitted on Enterprise, and expanded into the Enterprise J, by adding a recognizable saucer. This original version of the ship, the Altair, eventually was featured in the Ships of the Line Calendar, and the animated SOTL reel called Active Duty!
